About The Benefits of Mulch And Topsoil

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

While there is a school of thought that both mulch and topsoil are the same, many people consider topsoil as different material because it is used not for the purpose of drainage or construction but for the purpose of planting flowers, plants and other such vegetation. While mulch contains materials such as plastic, limestone and other materials, as far as topsoil is concerned, the materials that are generally used are earth materials, organic matter and dirt that have been eroded. Usually topsoil is considered to consist of materials that are available in the first 6 inches or so and the rest is considered as natural soil. Mulch and topsoil for you.

What Can Air Balancing Do?

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

Through air balancing, rooms can receive enough volume of air. You will love the comfort of maintaining your desired temperature. Without air balancing, specific parts in the ductworks of the heating and cooling systems will have an excess of back pressure. The excessive back pressure reduces the efficiency of the system resulting to a number of fall outs and premature breakages and sorts of damages in the ductwork. The system also works with too much noise. Air balancing involves three major methods. That is testing, adjusting, and balancing. Testing involves the use of specialized calibrated materials to determine the overall performance of the system. Adjusting uses devices to set the specified performance and efficiency of the system. And the last step air balancing is air balancing, which is the methodical way of regulating the flow of the system.

It Was All Good Until The Mold Came In

Sunday, February 6th, 2011

Mold was not the first thing on my mind. I’m a pretty average homeowner and I rent a house in a good part of town. I always love bowling and drinking Caucasians with my friends Walter and Donny. I didn’t pay any attention to mold but after my rug got soiled by some guy and his friend when they broke in to my house. The mold started to grow, that was nasty man. I didn’t want to have a house with molds on the rug. What’s worse is the molds got into the ventilation system where they cause me allergies and made the air bad. What’s even worse is my special lady friend wants to come over for some quality time and I can’t have molds in my home where people can catch allergies. This mold aggression will not stand man.  So I hired some guys to get my home ventilation system cleaned and free of mold.

Regular cleaning of air ducts may lead to relief for those who suffer

For about two years, Ivan M, an investment manager who lives in Toronto, suffered from headaches— usually five out of seven days. But, he didn’t know why until a visit to an allergist told him that he was allergic to mold.

Ivan is one of more than 50 million people who suffer from allergic diseases, seasonal and perennial allergies according to the Canadian Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. And sinusitis develops in approximately 12 million Canadians each year.

Evidently I had developed a sensitivity to mold, and I was told that due to the fact we’ve had very humid and mild winters the last couple years, it was the perfect condition to grow mold, Craden said. In Ontario, if you’ve got allergies and sinus sensitivities, spring and fall are miserable, especially the last few years.  And if you’ve ever had a migraine or sinus headache, you’ll do almost anything to get rid of it
